Sharing knowledge gleaned from a lifetime of gardening, three women continents apart highlight the crucial role gardens play in mitigating climate change and improving our health.

 

The Garden Effect presents the stories and horticultural accomplishments of Hélène Leclerc, from Canada, Åsa Gregers-Warg, from England, and Beverley McConnell, from New Zealand. All three have devoted their lives to creating, nurturing and preserving unique gardens.

 

Their work is explored in a juxtaposition of reflections on the important role gardening plays in protecting the planet and improving both physical and mental health, for people of all ages, at a time when diminishing contact with nature is threatening our well-being.
